Notre Dame Street Mill & Overlay Project Soon Underway in Columbus

The City of Columbus has officially awarded the contract for the Notre Dame Street Mill & Overlay Project to North Valley Inc. Construction activities are anticipated to begin the week of June 1 and continue throughout the month of June, with substantial completion targeted by July 3, 2026.

The project includes:

  • Milling and overlay improvements along Notre Dame Street between Kettle River Road and Broadway Avenue NE
  • Parking lot paving improvements at Columbus City Park
  • Roadway and intersection realignment work at Notre Dame Street and Kettle River Road

During construction, access from Kettle River Road to Notre Dame Street will temporarily be closed while reconstruction of the intersection takes place. However, access to all properties will remain open throughout the project, and driveway access along Notre Dame Street will continue to be maintained during milling and paving operations.

Residents and motorists are encouraged to use caution near the work zone and follow the posted detour routes and construction signage. The City appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents during this important infrastructure improvement project.
